T-MUX

T-MUX is an application development aid which abstracts away the difficulties associated with piping data through a constrained wireless packet data channel. T-MUX provides an Application Programming Interface (API) to allow application developers to integrate multiple data streams with differing bandwidth and reliability requirements. Operating in a less than perfect IP environment, T-MUX is robust enough to deal with constrained and difficult packet data channels, providing configurable levels of:

• Retry Requests
• Packet loss tolerence
• Data Precedence
• Channel status monitoring in order to deal with different classes of application.
For example:
• Guaranteed Background (reliable low rate data e.g. status monitoring)
• Periodic Telemetry (medium rate data prone to expiry e.g. sensor data)
• Real Time Streaming data (large quantities of low reliability data e.g. audio, video, ECG waveforms)

T-MUX is specifically tuned for Sepura TETRA, GPRS, RBGAN Satellite and various circuit mode data services. T-MUX can also be easily be tuned for other communication systems as required. T-MUX can be licensed for your own development or HW Communications can provide any development service for new applciations.
